About Car Loan Calculator

After nearly 20 years of using PCP - being locked into deals, mileage-limited, and not actually owning the car or building any equity - I decided to move back to used cars and bank loans. To make the decision, I built a comprehensive Excel spreadsheet that charted the loan forecasts and let me change parameters to see how the outcome shifted. It was so useful that I thought, why not turn it into an app!

I couldn't find a competent free app online, so this one was born.

Use the Help pages for detailed information about terms and how to use the app. Once you get the hang of it, the information can provide great insights into how best to borrow and how depreciation affects ownership. The so-called "haircut" from trading in a car with a dealer was a big factor I hadn't previously considered.
